*1959, zuerst Cello-Studium, mit 20 Wechsel auf den Kontrabass.

Ist seit den 80er Jahren in zahlreichen Formationen des Avantgarde und des Mainstream Jazz tätig. Mitbegründer des Jazzclubs Moods. Tourneen in den USA, in Russland, Rumänien, Frankreich und Deutschland.

Spielte unter anderem mit: Franco Ambrosetti, Bob Mover, Urs Blöchlinger, Jürg Grau, Dieter Ulrich, Pit Gutmann, Thomas Dobler, Christoph Gallio, Elmar Kluth, Dave Moss, Sergei Letov, Ellen Christi, Lindsay Cooper, Dave Taylor, Tom Varner, Werner Lüdi, G-Sax (Roland Graf), Jürg Solothurnmann, Felix Utzinger, John Ward.
